In the face of growing student behavior challenges, increasing special education diagnoses, and mounting stress for both educators and parents, Nicole and Angie recognized a critical need for change. They saw the toll the pandemic had taken on families and schools and knew something had to be done to help everyone adjust to the new realities of post-pandemic education. We established LiveWellEd in 2023 with the goal to support parents, children, and educators in responding to the evolving needs of today’s education system, fostering collaboration and resilience. Their mission has remained clear from the start: to make the educational experience the best it can be for all children and their families, helping them thrive no matter the challenges they face.
Our Story
Nicole and Angie’s journey began in 2016, when they first met as co-teachers in a Title 1, full inclusion school in Washington, DC. Together, they supported a diverse group of students and families, navigating the ups and downs of everyday classroom life. As they worked side by side, their bond grew stronger, and they quickly saw the profound impact they could make in the lives of students, especially as they worked through the challenges of the pandemic and the difficult 2020 school year. Since their time in the classroom, both Nicole and Angie have transitioned into educational leadership, where they continue to advocate for and support the success of students and families in a broader capacity. Their shared vision for empowering children and families through education only deepened over time.
